The Copeland Sculpture Garden offers visitors a pleasant walk around the Delaware Art Museum’s lush grounds. Founded by the Delaware Art Museum, the sculpture garden officially opened to the public on 25 June, 2005.

The small and impressive garden consists of eleven sculptures in total from the museum’s permanent collection; eight presented in the garden behind the Delaware Art Museum and three leading to the front entrance. Each sculpture differs in subject, from large static works, to moving and sound sculptures that request visitor participation. The artists from the collection include Tom Otterness, George Rickey and Joe Moss.

Additionally, many visitors enjoy wandering through the stone labyrinth sculpted within the Anthony N. Fusco Reservoir, which is located toward the back of the sculpture garden.

Open all day, all year round. Free of charge.
