CIMR Fellows appointed as Birkbeck Visiting Professors

We are proud to announce that two of our CIMR Fellows and active members of the CIMR community, Prof Tomasz Mroczkowskiand Prof Martin Meyer, have been appointed as Visiting Professors at Birkbeck until 2025.

Tomasz Mroczkowski is Professor in the Department of Management of Kogod Business School, The American University in Washington (USA). He teaches International Business and Management in Emerging Markets courses in the MBA program. His current research interests include knowledge management, international outsourcing and globalization of R&D and comparative innovation policies in emerging economies. Professor Mroczkowski has lectured at universities in Japan and Europe, including the National Defense Academy of Japan, Copenhagen Business School, University of Cambridge, University of Paris-Sorbonne and the ESCP-EAP in Paris. He has conducted executive development seminars for leading American and European companies, such as GM, AT&T, Union Carbide, GE and Polaroid. Mroczkowski has been a recipient of a number of grants, including awards from the Andrew A. Mellon Foundation, the US Agency for International Development and the German Marshall Fund of the US.

Martin Meyer is vice-rector for international affairs and director of InnoLab of the University of Vaasa (Finland). He is also a professor in the Networked Value Systems (NeVS) group within the School of Technology and Innovations. Martin is known for his work on science, technology and innovation as well as the Triple Helix of university-industry-government relations. He joined from Scotland where he was Dean and Head of the University of Aberdeen Business School as well as Professor of Business and Innovation. Martin retains a link to Aberdeen as a visiting professor and holds a visiting appointment at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). Martin serves on the advisory boards of a number of international business schools, has acted as a volunteer and mentor for accreditation agencies, such as the AACSB, and was the vice chair of the Research Steering Group of the Chartered Association of Business Schools.
