Gavin Selerie will introduce and read from his recent work Hariot Double, after which there will be a discussion about its themes and procedures. Issues will include: the relation between the verbal and visual dimension, the lyric within extended narrative, and the weave of themes or motifs. Gavin has published four long poem sequences, Azimuth (1984), Roxy (1996), Le Fanu’s Ghost (2006) and Hariot Double (2016).
