On 19 May 2016 the CPRC hosted US poets Rob Halpern, Peter Gizzi and Matvei Yankelevich.
What followed was a series of uncomfortable, beautiful and translated poems that confronted the necessity of reinventing the lyric in the context of social crisis, late capitalism, violence and militarisation.This event was run as part of Birkbeck’s Arts Week and was preceded by a symposium on the work of Rob Halpern.
