CILAVS is seeking to appoint a Research Centre Administrator for 2020-21 with excellent organisational skills, and some knowledge of/interest in Iberian and Latin American visual culture, literature and/or related fields (including Spanish and/or Portuguese language). Experience with event management (online and face-to-face) and social media (e.g. Twitter) desirable.
You will support CILAVS Co-Directors in ensuring the smooth running of the Centre’s events programme. In particular, you will be responsible for promoting and facilitating a busy programme of events, attending CILAVS Steering Committee meetings (drafting agenda and minutes), and liaising with PhD students across the School working on ILAS-related topics.
In order to be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate your administrative and organisational skills, be visually literate (able to design good publicity) and be willing to work independently and to deadline. You should be interested in and able to participate in the work of the Centre. PhD students in the field of Iberian and Latin American Studies are particularly encouraged to apply.
