Sarah B Davies

Sarah B Davies is a practicing sculptor and an independent curator and arts manager, specialising in art in the public realm. Her art practice frequently examines the functions of everyday items, challenging everyday actions. As a graduate of Birkbeck’s Arts Policy and Management MA programme she has also developed her own research into audience memory of the ephemeral public art experience and an analysis of the methods for evaluating art in the public realm.

Sarah is research assistant for Dr. Cameron Cartiere, providing support for Dr. Cartiere’s current research into the history of the modern sculpture park and assisting the development of the International Directory of Sculpture Parks and Gardens website.

In addition, she holds the position of Assistant Curator for UP Projects, a London-based arts organisation that produces ambitious projects in the public realm, often in parks and gardens. In 2009 and 2010 she has also been invited to undertake the role of Guest Curator for the prestigious annual sculpture exhibition in Cannizaro Park, one of the UK’s longest running temporary outdoor exhibitions, in partnership with Wimbledon College of Art.
