Academic Standards and Quality

The Academic Standards and Quality (ASQ) team at Birkbeck works with colleagues across the College to ensure that our provision operates within appropriate academic standards and offers students quality learning opportunities. ASQ achieves this by co-ordinating a number of quality assurance processes, and managing the development of academic collaborations. These include the College's own internal quality assurance/ enhancement structures and programme approval mechanisms, as well as responding to external scrutiny and expectations set out by the wider Higher Education sector. Our work is overseen by the Teaching Quality and Enhancement Committee (TQEC). Our ultimate aim is that by working in partnership with staff and students we ensure the best possible learning experience for Birkbeck students.
