CIMR meets a delegation from the Education Department of Henan Province (PRC)

On June 2nd 2017, a delegation from the Education Department of Henan Province (PRC) visited the Centre for Innovation Management Research. The group of twenty delegates, which included representatives from the Division of Science and Technology of the Education Department of Henan Province as well as representatives from several universities in the Province, was welcomed by the Centre’s Director, Prof. Helen Lawton Smith, Deputy Co-Director, Dr. Federica Rossi, and by the Assistant School Manager for Internationalisation and Partnerships, Matthew Jayes. The visit presented a great opportunity to showcase the Centre on an international stage, and strengthen relationships which transcend geographical and cultural boundaries.

The delegation attended several presentations by CIMR members and affiliates to learn more about the Centre’s research and its applications. Prof. Lawton Smith provided an introduction to the Centre for Innovation Management Research, Dr Rossi discussed CIMR’s approach to generating policy impact from research, Prof. Alice Zhou of the International Triple Helix Institute provided a comparative discussion of the Triple Helix in the US and China, and Prof. Emanuela Todeva of St. Mary’s University talked about Triple Helix Research, Scholarship and Practice.

The delegates thanked CIMR for their hospitality and the presenters for sharing their views, knowledge and experiences. CIMR and the Education Department of Henan Province will remain open to the consideration of future research and teaching collaborations in areas of mutual synergy.
