In this multimedia performance the artist Cecilia Vicuña weaves images, chants and stories of her life as a quipu maker, a quipucamayoc of the 21st century. Weaving in and around water she brings forth ancient associations to confront contemporary realities.

Cecilia Vicuña is a poet, visual artist and filmmaker born in Santiago de Chile. She lives between Chile and New York. Her most recent publications include: Spit Temple, The Selected Performances of Cecilia Vicuña (2012), Chanccani Quipu (2012), Sabor a Mí (2011). She co-edited The Oxford Book of Latin American Poetry (2009).
